MOBILITY | Toyota to build first service center in Leyte
The Toyota Palo, Leyte Service Center will occupy a 6,000-square-meter property and will offer express maintenance, periodic maintenance, and general repair services.

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) and Toyota Tacloban, Leyte Inc. have broken ground on a new service center in Palo, marking the first Toyota service facility in Leyte.
The facility, which is scheduled to open by mid-2027, is part of TMP’s effort to expand its after-sales network and support vehicle owners in Eastern Visayas.
The Toyota Palo, Leyte Service Center will occupy a 6,000-square-meter property and will offer express maintenance, periodic maintenance, and general repair services. It will also include a showroom and 32 service bays.
TMP Senior Vice President for Marketing Sherwin Chua-Lim said Toyota Tacloban has built a customer base of about 28,000 vehicle owners since it began operations 13 years ago.
“For the past 13 years, Toyota Tacloban has been committed to the Toyota brand through providing quality products and services to our customers,” Chua-Lim said. “Over time, have gained the trust of twenty-eight thousand customers to date, reflecting the confidence that the people of Leyte have placed in us.”
Toyota Tacloban, Leyte Inc. President Jimmy T. Yaokasin said the expansion is intended to address growing demand for mobility services in the province.
“This groundbreaking ceremony is not simply about constructing another service center. It is about preparing for the next generation,” Yaokasin said. “As we look around our province today, we see rapid change everywhere. Technology is evolving, mobility is happening, and customer expectations continue to rise. The needs of our communities are growing, and this expansion is our response to that future.”
Palo, a first-class municipality in Leyte, is located along the Pan-Philippine Highway and serves as a transportation and commercial hub with access to Tacloban City and other parts of Leyte and Samar. Its proximity to airports, seaports, and major road networks supports regional trade and mobility.
TMP said the new facility will strengthen Toyota’s service presence in the region and improve access to maintenance and repair services for customers in Leyte and neighboring areas.
