Filipino companies dominated the inaugural Southeast Asia Best Workplaces in Technology 2026 rankings, with eight organizations operating in the Philippines securing places in the regional Top 10, according to workplace culture authority Great Place To Work.
The rankings recognize technology employers across Southeast Asia based on confidential employee surveys measuring workplace trust, leadership, fairness, well-being, and overall employee experience. The list is based on more than 58,200 survey responses representing over 219,200 employees across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Cisco ranked first overall, followed by Carelon Global Solutions Philippines and Insight. Other companies with Philippine operations in the Top 10 include Genpact, Visa, Concentrix Philippines, Capital One Philippines, Cognizant, and Lexmark Research and Development Corp., a subsidiary of Xerox Corp.
Great Place To Work said the rankings were determined using employee feedback collected through a 60-statement survey that evaluated leadership credibility, respect, fairness, pride, camaraderie, professional development, and workplace culture. Companies were also assessed based on their regional presence, including the number of Southeast Asian markets where they are certified and have conducted employee surveys.
The study found that younger employees expressed the highest levels of trust in their employers. Workers aged 25 and younger posted a 91.1% trust score, higher than the overall average among the recognized companies. Nearly 79% of respondents in this age group had been with their employers for less than two years, while 58% were women.
Compensation remained the weakest area across the region. The statement, “I feel I receive a fair share of the profits made by this organization,” received an average score of 75%, making pay fairness, profit sharing, and promotion transparency the lowest-rated aspects even among the highest-performing employers.
“Southeast Asia is where the next decade in technology is being decided,” said Evelyn Kwek, managing director for ASEAN and ANZ at Great Place To Work. “Growth this fast runs on people, and the 219,262 employees behind this list have given the region a clear, public benchmark for how technology companies treat the people doing the building.”
Charles Plumley, general manager of Great Place To Work Philippines, said the country’s technology sector continues to expand as competition for skilled talent intensifies.
“There has never been a more exciting time to work in technology in this region, and I say that from the Philippines, where the industry now employs 1.9 million people and keeps growing,” Plumley said.
The inaugural regional rankings also recognized companies in the Small, Medium, and Large categories, highlighting organizations that employees rated highly for trust, innovation, and workplace culture across Southeast Asia.
