Converge ICT Solutions Inc. was named the Philippines’ top fixed broadband provider for the first half of 2026 after receiving the highest marks in Ookla’s Speedtest Intelligence report for internet speed, overall connectivity, and network latency.

Based on millions of consumer-initiated Speedtest results collected nationwide from January to June 2026, Ookla recognized Converge FiberX as the country’s “Best Internet,” “Fastest Internet,” and provider with the “Best Fixed Latency.”

The report showed Converge posted a Speed Score of 61.86, a Speedtest Connectivity Score of 73.14, and a Latency Score of 14.44, indicating faster response times for applications such as online gaming, video conferencing, and other real-time internet services.

The latest recognition extends Converge’s winning streak in the Ookla Speedtest Awards, which the company said dates back to 2022.

“We take pride in providing the best broadband service to our over three million subscribers,” Converge Chief Operations Officer Benjamin Azada said. “Being awarded the fastest provider for four straight years, best ISP for three years, and now confirmed to have the best latency, is a testament to our consistent efforts to deliver superior performance.”

Ookla said its Speed Score combines download speed, upload speed, and latency to measure user experience, while the Connectivity Score evaluates network performance across high-bandwidth online activities, including video streaming.

“The real test is sustaining network performance as more people depend on the network every day,” said John Paul Aguilar, Converge senior vice president and head of the Consumer Business Group. “These results reflect the discipline behind our network investments and the standard we intend to keep raising as we expand nationwide.”

Converge said it continues to expand its nationwide fiber infrastructure and invest in network capacity, cloud services, cybersecurity, data centers, managed services, and artificial intelligence to support residential, enterprise, and public-sector customers. As of June 2026, the company said it operated more than 900,000 kilometers of fiber-optic assets across the country.
