MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Fully committed to boost the digital transformation of enterprises and industries, NOW Corporation, a telecom, media and technology listed firm in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE Ticker: NOW) has upgraded its current equipment capacity in preparation for the huge demand of broadband internet of its existing and future customers. It has upgraded its equipment capacity to 400 times it had when it started its broadband business late 2015.

From 700Mbps, the said upgrade can now deploy speeds of up to 2.4Gbps that will allow the company to enable better digital experiences for their customers.

This development is seen to help facilitate the creation of smart cities in metropolitan and central business district areas across the country and strengthen NOW Corp’s role as an active partner to commercial and residential buildings and enterprises. All these are anchored to NOW Corp’s digital transformation thrust that allows it to deliver a more holistic and personalized digital experience.

Kristian Pura (Head for Business Development & Strategy), RJ Torres (Head for Marketing& Communications) and the Sales Team of Now Corporation unveils the upgrade to the Association of Building Managers of Ortigas Center, Inc. (ABMOCI)

Last August 31, NOW Corp. has officially introduced the upgrade to the Association of Building Managers of Ortigas Center, Inc. (ABMOCI) during their monthly fellowship at El Pueblo, Ortigas Center. High level discussions on how to leverage digital technologies for development and modernization in the Ortigas Central Business District were facilitated and
40 Building Managers from ABMOCI were introduced to the service of GuaranteedBroadband Connection and high-level IT Services.

“Digital transformation is becoming a buzz word. However, infrastructure is key in order to provide digital services to the enterprise community. NOW Corp is in the best position to serve this market as we also provide IT services across industries,” Kristian Pura, Head of Business Development and Strategy said.

“We’re currently talking to top global telecom suppliers so that we are able to introduce new products in order to cater to the needs of a wider market. With this Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) that we have deployed in Metro Manila and with the recent upgrade of our network, we can position ourselves first in the market to rollout next-generation networks in the near future. FWA is not new in the telecom world. US telecom giants Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and even Google Fiber all use FWA to deploy the last mile to end customers,” Pura said.

The company’s journey to providing high quality connectivity started in 2015 when it launched its broadband business under the brand NOWFiber Air and eventually attributed its success primarily to FWA deployment as a means to connect large enterprises. NOW Corp was keen to the reality that fixed-wireless technology has been growing increasingly popular as enterprises have been looking for an alternative broadband deployment aside from fiber optics which usually has a longer and slower installation process and is vulnerable tofiber cuts during road works and maintenance work of utility companies or government construction works.

The company has then been servicing large enterprises including new enterprise customers such as Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Phoenix Publishing, MyTown Properties, Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR), and Prudential Guarantee and Insurance Inc.

With the demand from businesses and the public for interconnected, future-proofed internet services is growing, NOW Corp aspires to have a significant impact on the lives of Filipinos and the economy and help drive the growth of new businesses, industry productivity, jobs, and educational opportunities by providing reliableand guaranteed broadband speeds available 24/7.
