TRAVEL | Agoda adds Capella and Patina hotels to platform
The partnership, announced in Singapore on Sept. 17, expands Agoda’s hotel inventory to include Capella Hotel Group’s luxury and lifestyle properties for customers in Asia and other markets.
Agoda has partnered with Capella Hotel Group to make the group’s Capella Hotels and Resorts and Patina Hotels & Resorts properties available on the digital travel platform.
The partnership, announced in Singapore on Sept. 17, expands Agoda’s hotel inventory to include Capella Hotel Group’s luxury and lifestyle properties for customers in Asia and other markets.
The move comes as demand for luxury travel in Asia continues to grow. Agoda cited its 2026 Travel Outlook Report, which found that 31% of surveyed travelers prioritize culinary experiences, while 25% identified cultural exploration as a key travel motivator.
Andrew Smith, senior vice president of supply at Agoda, said the partnership would make Capella properties easier for travelers to discover and book through the platform.
“Luxury today is personal. Our role at Agoda is to make sure that what a traveler is looking for – from an everyday getaway to a once-in-a-lifetime stay – is easy to discover and book,” Smith said.
The partnership covers Capella Hotel Group’s portfolio of luxury and lifestyle properties, including hotels in destinations such as Bangkok and Bali. Agoda said Bangkok and Bali are among its most searched destinations for five-star accommodations, alongside Kuala Lumpur.
Varun Whig, vice president of revenue at Capella Hotel Group, said the partnership would expand the group’s reach among travelers across Asia and other markets.
The agreement also comes as the Asia-Pacific luxury travel market expands. Agoda cited McKinsey research projecting luxury travel demand in the region to grow by about 8% annually.
Capella Hotel Group said its portfolio includes Capella Hotels and Resorts and Patina Hotels & Resorts. The company noted that Capella Hotels and Resorts was named the No. 1 Best Hotel Brand in the World in Travel + Leisure’s 2026 World’s Best Awards, while Patina Osaka was named the No. 1 Best Hotel in the World. Capella Bangkok received the World’s Best Hotel designation in 2024.
