Keeper Security has been recognized in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management (PAM) for the second consecutive year, as enterprises face growing challenges in securing human, machine and artificial intelligence (AI) identities.
The recognition, announced on Oct. 27, 2026, in Singapore, was based on the company’s Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision, according to Keeper Security.
The company attributed the recognition to KeeperPAM’s cloud-native architecture and its approach to managing identities across passwords, secrets, endpoint privileges and AI agents.
Keeper has introduced several product updates targeting identity security risks in modern IT environments. These include KeeperDB for passwordless database management and Universal Secrets Sync, which transfers secrets directly to cloud-native vaults.
Its KeeperAI technology extends behavioral threat detection to privileged session protocols, allowing the platform to identify unusual AI agent activity and initiate automated session responses.
Keeper Security CTO and co-founder Craig Lurey said the platform’s architecture distinguishes it from legacy privileged access management systems originally designed for on-premises deployment.
“The difference between what we built and legacy PAM platforms shows up immediately during deployment because the foundational architecture is entirely different,” Lurey said.
“When you try to add remote access management or secrets governance to a system that was originally designed to be on-prem, then lifted and shifted to the cloud, you’re always fighting the original design. We made different choices from the beginning, building KeeperPAM as cloud-native and identity-agnostic from the start. This unique architecture matters when you’re trying to govern humans, machines and AI agents concurrently,” he added.
The company said the growing deployment of AI agents in enterprise infrastructure creates additional identity and access management requirements. Each agent can introduce another identity, potential attack surface and compliance obligation, requiring organizations to maintain visibility, enforce access policies and monitor privileged sessions.
Keeper Security CEO and co-founder Darren Guccione said the company’s platform was designed to address identity security requirements involving both human users and AI agents.
“Keeper hasn’t just adapted to the changing security landscape; we have designed our identity security platform specifically for it,” Guccione said. “By delivering a unified platform that secures everything from humans to AI agents, we are solving visibility, access and governance problems that legacy systems cannot. Our commitment to industry innovation is exactly why we continue to be recognised on Gartner reports.”
Keeper also cited industry awards in 2026, including recognition from the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards for innovation and zero-trust leadership.
The company said its compliance credentials include FedRAMP High certification, GovRAMP High authorization, SOC 2 Type II attestation, ISO 27001 certification and FIPS 140-3 validation.
The Gartner report, titled Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management, was published on Oct. 21, 2026, and authored by Paul Mezzera, Shubham Gera, Tarun Rohilla and Scott Brinker.
Gartner states that its research represents the opinions of its Research and Advisory organization and does not constitute an endorsement of any vendor, product or service. It also advises technology buyers not to select vendors solely on the basis of their position or designation in a Magic Quadrant.
