Hong Kong became a home away from home for thousands of Filipinos during HK Fest 2025, a four-day celebration held from June 12 to 15 in honor of Philippine Independence Day.

Led by PLDT Global Corporation through its digital platform Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo), the event brought together Filipino culture, entertainment, and community pride. In partnership with MQuest Ventures and Philippine Airlines, the festival featured a mix of film screenings, celebrity meet-and-greets, and cultural performances aimed at connecting overseas Filipinos with home.

“HK Fest is our way of honoring every Filipino in Hong Kong,” said PLDT Global President and CEO Albert Villa-Real. “TinBo is proud to be part of your journey.”

The celebration kicked off with a National Day reception hosted by the Philippine Consulate General, attended by Consul General Romulo Victor M. Israel Jr., Justice Secretary Paul Lam of Hong Kong, and other dignitaries. Guests were treated to musical performances, including a set by Filipino singer Nina.

Filipino movie fans also attended the Makabayan Film Fest at Emperor Cinemas iSQUARE, where films such as Song of the Fireflies, GomBurZa, and The Kingdom were screened.

On June 14, the Philippine Association in Hong Kong held a charity ball at The Ritz-Carlton, honoring PLDT Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan for his contributions to the Filipino community. The night featured performances by artists including Randy Santiago, K Brosas, Donita Nose, Nina, and Richard Poon.

The festivities culminated on June 15 at Chater Road with Saludo 2025, a street celebration featuring regional Filipino groups, celebrity guests, and a visit from Senator Raffy Tulfo. The cast of Eat Bulaga, led by Vic Sotto, headlined the entertainment. TinBo also launched its new campaign Alagang Bossing, highlighting the role of overseas Filipinos as everyday heroes. Several lucky TinBo users won P100,000 during the event, including one on-site raffle winner.

TinBo is a digital platform designed to help Filipinos abroad support their families through services like remittances, bill payments, healthcare, and e-gift vouchers. The app is available via Google Play, the App Store, or at www.tinbo.ph.

HK Fest 2025 wrapped up as a vibrant tribute to freedom, family, and Filipino pride—with TinBo at the heart of every celebration.
