Experience moments better with vivo V60

A new push in mobile imaging and performance is shaping vivo’s latest smartphone rollout in the Philippines, as the company introduces two models targeting different segments: the midrange vivo V60 and the flagship vivo X300 Pro, now available through a major telecommunications plan.

The launches underscore how smartphone makers are increasingly leaning on advanced camera systems, AI-assisted features, and battery efficiency as differentiators in a crowded market where hardware gains are becoming more incremental.

Imaging, AI take center stage

The vivo V60 positions itself as a device built for everyday content creation and multitasking, anchored by a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera and a suite of AI-powered photography tools. The phone’s camera system is designed to simplify shooting and post-processing, particularly for users producing content on the move.

Among its headline features is AI Erase 3.0, which allows users to remove unwanted objects from photos with minimal manual editing. Night photography is also a focal point, with AI enhancements automatically optimizing low-light shots without requiring extensive user adjustments.

For users who rely heavily on their phones for gaming, streaming, and multitasking, the V60 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform, paired with 12GB of RAM and an additional 12GB of extended RAM. vivo says this configuration is aimed at sustaining smooth performance during prolonged use, including high frame-rate gaming. The device also carries a 6500mAh BlueVolt battery, a capacity designed to support long sessions while maintaining a relatively slim form factor.

Flagship focus on telephoto performance

At the higher end of the lineup, the vivo X300 Pro is being positioned squarely as a photography-centric flagship. Now offered in the Philippines via Globe’s All-New GPlan Plus 1799, the device highlights telephoto capabilities that are becoming increasingly prominent in premium smartphones.

The X300 Pro features a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera, complemented by a ZEISS Gimbal-Grade Main Camera with CIPA 5.5 stabilization. This setup is designed to deliver sharper handheld shots and more reliable results when zooming or shooting at a distance. vivo also highlights a 200MP Ultra-Clear Portrait mode and a range of creative tools, including Stage Mode 2.0, dual-view recording, and long-range motion capture.

Under the hood, the flagship runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 platform, paired with a 6510mAh BlueVolt battery. Charging options include 90W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless charging, signaling vivo’s continued emphasis on reducing downtime for power users.

The X300 Pro ships with OriginOS 6, which introduces features such as cross-platform file transfers, multitasking enhancements, and tighter integration between the phone and computers. Display-wise, the device uses a ZEISS Master Color Display with ZEISS Natural Color calibration and Circular Polarizer 2.0, aimed at improving color accuracy and eye comfort.

Pricing, availability, market context

The vivo V60 is available in local concept stores, kiosks, and online platforms at prices starting at P28,999. Meanwhile, the vivo X300 Pro is bundled with a ZEISS Telephoto Extender Kit under Globe’s GPlan Plus 1799, with monthly fees structured over a 24-month contract.

The two devices reflect vivo’s dual-track strategy in the Philippine market: broadening appeal in the midrange with AI-assisted convenience, while pushing technical camera boundaries in the flagship tier. As smartphone upgrades slow globally, the emphasis on imaging, battery longevity, and software-assisted usability suggests where manufacturers see the next phase of competition unfolding.

For consumers, the choice increasingly comes down to how much value they place on photography-driven features—and whether those capabilities justify stepping up from capable midrange devices to camera-focused flagships.
