CYBERSECURITY | SailPoint launches Claude Enterprise security integration
Sailpoint said the connector is designed to address growing security risks tied to enterprise AI adoption, including the rise of “Shadow AI,” or the use of ungoverned AI tools outside the visibility of IT and security teams.
SailPoint has launched a new integration with the Claude Compliance API aimed at helping enterprises manage identity security and governance for artificial intelligence platforms.
The Austin, Texas-based company said the integration enables organizations using Claude Enterprise to centrally manage users, groups, roles and AI agents through the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.
The company said the connector is designed to address growing security risks tied to enterprise AI adoption, including the rise of “Shadow AI,” or the use of ungoverned AI tools outside the visibility of IT and security teams.
“While the industry discusses the future of AI security, SailPoint is delivering it today. As Anthropic makes its Compliance API available, SailPoint is building a meaningful, governance-focused integration,” said Chandra Gnanasambandam, executive vice president of product and chief technology officer at SailPoint.
SailPoint said the integration allows enterprises to apply adaptive identity controls across AI systems by analyzing access context, including who is accessing systems, what resources are being used, and why access is needed.
The company added that the platform also supports governance for non-human identities such as AI agents, APIs and machine workloads.
The Claude Compliance API connector for Claude Enterprise is now available to customers using the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.
