VITRO Inc. and 8990 Housing Development Corporation have expanded their partnership to strengthen the developer’s IT infrastructure and ensure continuous operations amid disruptions.

The collaboration supports 8990 HDC’s growing nationwide footprint by hosting its core systems in VITRO’s data centers. Since 2019, the company has colocated its real estate enterprise resource planning (ERP) and document management systems at VITRO Cebu. In 2025, it expanded to VITRO Makati 2 to enhance business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.

With all sales offices nationwide connected to systems hosted in VITRO facilities, the setup enables real-time data access and high system availability across operations.

The company said its systems remained operational during major disruptions, including Typhoon Odette and multiple earthquakes in the Visayas and Mindanao in 2025, highlighting the role of offsite data infrastructure in maintaining uptime.

“For the past seven years, VITRO has consistently delivered excellent service, and we see this partnership continuing for the long term. It wasn’t easy at first to convince management to invest in colocation, but after the recent calamities we have gone through, we can confidently say it was the right decision,” said Roan Torregoza, chief financial officer of 8990 Housing Development Corporation.

VITRO said it continues to focus on supporting mission-critical operations as enterprises prioritize resilience and uptime.

“At VITRO, our commitment goes beyond providing space—we ensure that our clients’ systems remain secure, available, and continuously running, even in the face of unforeseen disruptions. Our partnership with 8990 Housing Development Corporation reflects our promise to deliver resilient, always-on infrastructure that our clients can depend on, no matter the circumstance,” said Gary F. Ignacio, chief commercial officer of VITRO Inc.

PLDT Enterprise said the partnership reflects broader efforts to support enterprise growth through integrated digital infrastructure.

“Our role, in PLDT Enterprise, is not just to provide colocation, but to enable our clients’ growth journeys. By delivering an integrated ecosystem, from data center services to connectivity and wireless solutions, we ensure that companies like 8990 HDC are fully equipped with the digital foundation they need to scale, innovate, and build more homes for Filipinos,” said Jay Lagdameo, vice president and head of domestic enterprise business, regional and commercial.

The companies said the partnership underscores the increasing role of data centers in supporting sectors such as real estate as they adopt more resilient and digitally enabled operations.
