MOBILITY | BAIC Philippines sales rise 10% as demand for electrified SUVs grows
BAIC Philippines attributed its growth to demand for electrified vehicles and the expansion of its retail and aftersales network.

BAIC Philippines reported a 10% increase in sales in the first five months of 2026 compared with the same period last year, with hybrid and electric vehicles accounting for the majority of units sold.
The automaker said electrified models represented 93% of its total sales from January to May, reflecting growing consumer interest in hybrid and electric mobility.
The B30e Dune was BAIC Philippines’ best-selling model during the period, accounting for 69% of total sales. The B60 Beaumont series contributed 18% of sales. The company said the performance of both models highlights increasing demand for electrified sport utility vehicles in the local market.
BAIC also reported that the B40e Trailmaster rEV sold out within its first month of availability.
The company attributed its growth to demand for electrified vehicles and the expansion of its retail and aftersales network. BAIC currently operates 17 dealerships nationwide through distributor UAAGI Auto Inc. Customers also have access to aftersales services, including trained technicians, genuine parts, and service support.
BAIC said sales generated during its participation in the 10th Philippine International Motor Show were more than 35% higher than those recorded during its previous participation in the Manila International Auto Show.
The company said it plans to continue expanding its dealer network and electrified vehicle lineup as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the Philippine automotive market.
