MOBILITY | VinFast opens preorders for all-new VF 8 in Philippines
The Philippines is the first international market to introduce the new D-segment electric SUV, according to the Vietnamese automaker.
VinFast opened preorders for its all-new VF 8 electric SUV in the Philippines on Oct. 13, with the first 1,000 customers to receive a free one-year battery subscription if they place their deposits by Nov. 5, 2026.
The Philippines is the first international market to introduce the new D-segment electric SUV, according to the Vietnamese automaker. The company expects to launch the vehicle locally in November, with initial deliveries scheduled to begin the same month.
Customers can reserve the VF 8 through authorized VinFast dealerships nationwide with a nonrefundable deposit of P5,000 to P10,000. The complimentary battery subscription is available to the first 1,000 customers who place their deposits within the booking period.
VinFast said the new VF 8 features an updated technology platform, design and vehicle features. Its design follows the company’s “Tech Fluid” philosophy, which emphasizes flowing lines and a modern exterior.
The vehicle comes with a seven-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty, whichever comes first. Its battery warranty covers 10 years or 200,000 kilometers, according to the company.
Antonio “Toti” Zara III, CEO of VinFast Philippines, said the early booking program would give customers an opportunity to be among the first to receive the new model.
“The tremendous demand for VinFast’s innovations here in the Philippines inspired us to launch this early booking program for the all-new VF 8,” Zara said. “The pre-order program is our way of giving Filipinos a chance to be among the first in the Philippines to experience our newest offering.”
VinFast is also expanding its electric vehicle support network in Southeast Asia. In the Philippines, the company said it is investing in after-sales services and charging infrastructure with support from V-Green and local partners.
The announcement did not specify the VF 8’s Philippine retail price or provide detailed technical specifications for the new model.
