GADGETS | LG unveils AI-powered TV lineup at IFA 2026
The α11 AI Processor Gen3 was first introduced in this year’s LG OLED evo series and is now also being used in the company’s ultra-large Micro RGB evo TVs.
LG Electronics is showcasing its 2026 AI TV lineup at IFA 2026, with new features focused on personalized content, AI-assisted viewing and security.
The lineup, being presented at Messe Berlin from Sept. 4-8, is built around the α11 AI Processor Gen3, which LG said delivers faster video processing and improved picture and sound capabilities.
The processor features a 5.6-fold improvement in neural processing unit performance compared with the 2025 α9 AI Processor Gen8, according to LG. It also supports AI Dual 4K Upscaling, which combines two AI methods to improve lower-resolution content, and AI Sound Pro, which produces virtual 11.1.2-channel audio.

LG’s 2026 AI TVs add several features aimed at tailoring the viewing experience to individual users. Voice ID recognizes a user’s voice and switches to a personal profile, allowing content recommendations to be based on viewing history and preferences.
An AI Chatbot can interpret plain-language descriptions of viewing problems and guide users through potential solutions. AI Concierge analyzes viewing habits and recommends content, search terms and features through webOS 26.
The AI Concierge can be accessed through the AI button on the remote and displays recommendations in a card format, allowing users to browse suggestions without leaving the content they are watching, according to LG.
Security is another component of the lineup. LG Shield, the company’s integrated security system for webOS, uses seven security technologies covering secure algorithms, data storage and transmission, user authentication, software integrity, secure updates and security event detection.
LG said the system is designed to protect user data and TV systems against data leakage, unauthorized access and malicious tampering. LG Shield was also named a CES 2026 Innovation Awards honoree in the Cybersecurity category.
The company said its AI TVs will receive up to five years of complimentary webOS upgrades, providing access to new and improved features released after purchase.

“From picture quality to security to highly personalized user experiences, every AI-driven feature is designed to enrich and expand what you can do on LG TV – and IFA 2026 is where people can see these innovations in action,” he added.
LG is demonstrating the 2026 AI TV lineup at its booth in Hall 18 of Messe Berlin throughout IFA 2026.
