CYBERSECURITY | SailPoint launches platform to secure AI identities
SailPoint said the platform addresses security and governance challenges created by the rapid growth of autonomous AI agents that can access systems and data with limited human oversight.
SailPoint has introduced Agentic Fabric, a platform designed to help enterprises manage and secure AI agents and other non-human identities across cloud environments, applications, and endpoints.

Agentic Fabric extends SailPoint’s Identity Security Cloud platform by adding governance and protection capabilities for machine and AI identities. The company said the platform combines identity discovery, visibility, governance, authorization, and protection to help organizations maintain security, compliance, and accountability while adopting AI technologies.
“AI agents are transforming how work gets done, but they’re also introducing a new class of identity risk that most organizations aren’t prepared for,” said Matt Mills, president of SailPoint. “You cannot secure what you cannot see, or what you cannot tie back to accountability.”
According to SailPoint, the platform can discover AI agents, machine identities, and applications across enterprise environments and map them to human ownership and critical data systems. It also supports lifecycle management, access policies, real-time authorization controls, threat detection, and automated response functions aimed at enforcing least-privilege access.
Chandra Gnanasambadam, executive vice president of product and chief technology officer at SailPoint, said organizations need tools that can govern and protect human, machine, and AI identities together as enterprise AI adoption expands.
The company also launched two new packages tied to the platform. Agentic Business focuses on least-privilege governance across identities, while Agentic Business Plus adds zero-standing privilege and just-in-time access controls.
SailPoint said it is offering a free trial of its Discovery Tool, which provides visibility into shadow AI and applications in enterprise environments. The tool is available to new customers and existing users of IdentityIQ and Identity Security Cloud.
Agentic Fabric and the new packages are scheduled to become available this summer.
