MOBILITY | Toyota launches Land Cruiser HEV in Philippines
The new variant combines a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine producing 415 PS with an electric motor generating 49 PS, replacing the diesel powertrain used in the current Land Cruiser 300 sold in the country.
Toyota Motor Philippines has launched the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) variant of the Land Cruiser in the Philippines, expanding its electrified vehicle lineup as the company continues its push toward lower-emission mobility options.
Retail sales of the Land Cruiser HEV began on June 24 after the model was previewed during the 10th Philippine International Motor Show.
The new variant combines a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine producing 415 PS with an electric motor generating 49 PS, replacing the diesel powertrain used in the current Land Cruiser 300 sold in the country. It also features electric power steering and updated exterior styling with Aero and Jet-Black Garnish accents.
Toyota said the addition of the Land Cruiser HEV is part of its multi-pathway strategy, offering customers different powertrain options based on their mobility needs while supporting efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
The Land Cruiser traces its origins to 1951 and has built a reputation for durability and off-road capability over more than seven decades. The model was first introduced in the Philippines in 1990 with the Land Cruiser 80 and has since developed a strong following among SUV enthusiasts.

The Land Cruiser HEV is available in Attitude Black Mica, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, and Precious White Pearl, which is offered as a premium color.
