BANKING | EastWest launches AI chatbot for business owners
EastWest said the launch comes as more Filipino entrepreneurs use digital channels to manage their businesses, including for business registration and renewal.
East West Banking Corp. has launched an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot designed to help business owners understand and access cash management services.
Called ECHO, or EastWest CMS Help Officer, the chatbot provides information on the bank’s solutions for collections, payments, payroll and cash flow management, according to the bank.
ECHO can answer questions about the bank’s Cash Management Services, guide business owners through available solutions and recommend options based on their requirements. It can also connect users with an EastWest sales officer for personalized assistance.
EastWest said the launch comes as more Filipino entrepreneurs use digital channels to manage their businesses, including for business registration and renewal.
The bank said the shift toward digital business management has increased the need for accessible banking solutions as businesses deal with more complex financial needs, including collections, payments, payroll and cash flow management.
ECHO is part of EastWest’s broader digitalization efforts. Its knowledge base will be continuously enhanced to provide more relevant information, recommendations and support as business needs evolve.
“Business owners need quick access to information so they can focus on running and growing their business. Through ECHO, we’re giving them an easier way to learn about solutions that can help them operate and grow with confidence,” said EastWest Chief Marketing Officer Martin Reyes.
EastWest said ECHO is intended to serve as a digital guide for business owners, helping them understand their options while providing access to support when needed.
