MOBILITY | Green SM launches electric ride-hailing service in Kazakhstan
Green SM said it will initially deploy a fleet of VinFast VF 6 Eco electric sport utility vehicles in Almaty, where the vehicles are intended for daily urban transportation and feature a quiet cabin and modern safety technologies.

An all-electric ride-hailing service has entered Kazakhstan as Green SM officially began operations in Almaty, marking the company’s first expansion into Central Asia and its sixth international market.
The launch was announced during a ceremony in Almaty attended by Vietnamese Ambassador-designate to Kazakhstan Nguyen Thanh Le, Almaty Department of Entrepreneurship and Investment Head Berikbol Shatabayevich Mandibayev, government officials, and representatives from the transportation, energy, technology, finance, infrastructure and services sectors.
Green SM said it will initially deploy a fleet of VinFast VF 6 Eco electric sport utility vehicles in Almaty. The company said the vehicles are intended for daily urban transportation and feature a quiet cabin and modern safety technologies.
The company also said it has established training programs for its drivers covering operations, safety and customer service as part of efforts to maintain service standards.
To mark the launch, Green SM is offering a 26% fare discount of up to KZT 2,626 for rides booked through its mobile application, which is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The company also announced partnerships with five organizations under its Green Alliance Frontier initiative, which aims to connect businesses and institutions focused on sustainable development across the transportation, tourism, technology and services sectors.
