Chinese electric vehicle maker XPENG will officially launch in the Philippines in September, introducing two models and beginning local operations through its direct subsidiary, XPENG Philippines.

The company confirmed the launch Aug. 13, following its earlier announcement that it would enter the Philippine market in the third quarter of 2026. The public event will include the Philippine debut of the XPENG X9 and XPENG L03. Details on the venue, activities and registration will be announced through XPENG Philippines’ official social media channels.

XPENG Philippines will serve as the company’s national sales and marketing organization, overseeing local sales, distribution, marketing and retail operations.

The X9 is a seven-seat electric vehicle that XPENG describes as its flagship model. The company said the vehicle features AI-powered technologies and a premium cabin.

The L03 is an SUV coupe that incorporates AI-powered features and software-defined vehicle technology.

XPENG said Philippine specifications, variants, pricing and availability for both models will be announced during the official launch.

Founded in 2014, XPENG develops, manufactures and markets electric vehicles, along with its own advanced driver-assistance system, intelligent in-car operating system and other vehicle technologies.

The company is headquartered in Guangzhou, China, and operates offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Silicon Valley, Munich and Amsterdam. It said it has a presence in more than 60 countries and regions, supported by more than 380 overseas stores and regional hubs in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Thailand and Mexico.

XPENG is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
